will it be two divisions of 4 with every team playing each other within their respective divisions and then having a cross over of 1st in one division vs 2nd in the other division and winners advance, losers go home?

i copied and pasted this of the www.gaa.ie website it is how our "irish" games work. Round 1 - This Round shall include all the counties that do not qualify for the Provincial Semi-Finals. An Open Draw shall be made to give eight pairings. Round 2 - Each of the eight defeated teams in the Provincial Semi-Finals shall play against the eight winners from Round 1. A draw shall be made to determine the eight pairings. Round 3 - The eight winners from Round 2 shall participate in this Round. An Open draw shall be made to determine the four pairings. Round 4 - Each of the four teams defeated in the Provincial Finals shall play against the four winners from Round 3. A draw shall be made to determine the four pairings. All Ireland Quarter-Finals: Each of the four Provincial Champions shall play one of the four winners from Round 4. A draw shall be made to determine the four pairings. All Ireland Semi-Finals: The All Ireland Semi-Finals shall be on a Provincial rots basis, initially determined by the Central Council. If a Provincial Championship winning team is defeated in its Quarter-Final, the team that defeats it shall take its place in the Semi-Final basically theres a back door now theres 8 teams here so i dont know , just said i would point that out what you read above is prob a load of shit and you dont know what im talking about now. frankly im not reading it

Yeah but they are Irish rules mob and you can tell    Joking aside they are rather complicated are they not. I would have thought 2 leagues of 4 playing each other with the 2 top teams going though to the semi's with top of one league playing 2nd in the other. League matches played over 2 games with 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. Semis being over 3 games Final being over 5 games, as with 3rd place play-off. Alternatively the 4 teams who qualify again play a league format with the winner being the top team. To be true World Cup winners you need to have beaten everyone.
